Careers

At Farnborough Hill, we have a formal careers programme that prepares each girl for the world of work from their arrival in Year 7.  From sessions with Baker Hughes in Year 7, to the Morrisby questionnaire in Year 10 and Interview Technique Evening in Sixth Form, pupils have a wide range of opportunities and resources available to guide them with their aspirations.

Careers advice is an integral part of our engagement and accompaniment that exists to guide all pupils, and is available through appointments with Alumnae and Careers Officer, Ms Ailsa West.  The girls are given personalised support and consultation at all of the important transition stages so they can explore next step choices.

We have a hugely supportive network of alumnae who are willing to share their experience and knowledge with pupils.  This is carried out either via Teams, by Old Girl visits in School or during our Career Insight sessions and ThinkTank talks.

We aim to encompass the eight Gatsby benchmarks for good careers guidance within our programme.
