Thirteen of the Farnborough Hill Altar Servers in Years 7 - 9 went to the Portsmouth Diocesan Schools' Mass at Portsmouth Cathedral. The day was full of fun, and we joined people from many other schools at the Mass. We also had the opportunity to meet the Bishop, the Right Rev Philip Egan, who gave each of us Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati prayer cards.
The Mass had a beautiful choir from a local primary school, and we enjoyed representing our school with our school banner at this joyful event. Interestingly, our minibus driver, Mr Federico, and Mrs Dalton spotted a plaque that lists The Empress Eugénie as a benefactor of the Portsmouth Diocese.
In the afternoon, the sun was beaming as we ate our lunch and visited Gunwharf Quays by the sea. We all enjoyed this wonderful trip.
