The Hill echoed with farewells this week as the Upper Sixth embarked on their study leave.

On Wednesday, the Year Group went interstellar! There was a riot of colour and costumes as the Upper Sixth embraced an "Out of This World" theme. Fairy wings shimmered, alien costumes materialised, and the Hill was abuzz with galactic accessories.

Thursday's Leavers' Mass offered a more heartfelt goodbye. Parents joined us for a poignant reflection, with Suhana's (U6WIN) tearful yet inspiring handover of the Head Girls' Book a particularly touching moment. Gemma (U6CSK), Ami (U6DEM), Annabel (U6CSK) and Annabel (U6CSK) did a beautiful rendition of Our Last Summer by ABBA which was perfectly fitting. The afternoon culminated in a heartwarming spectacle – the Upper Sixth's final Assembly in the Hall. Witnessing the entire school community come together to wish them the very best for their examinations and celebrate this momentous milestone in their lives was truly special.

These students arrived on the Hill seven years ago, a gaggle of nervous 11-year-olds, wide-eyed and full of trepidation. They stood before us transformed, having had academic and personal triumphs, embraced leadership roles with grace and made invaluable contributions to our cherished Farnborough Hill community. Together they embody the very spirit of Farnborough Hill – a place where growth explodes, compassion flourishes and empowerment takes root.

We wish our students all the very best for their examinations and know that their tenacity and resilience will see them through, looking forward to celebrating their achievements in the summer.
